Amazing.

We met our new store manager Saturday night. He told us he considers third shift the backbone of the store. He also told us anything done for employees, such as free meals, will start with third shift. Normally we get the leftovers. Most managers don't realize exactly how much we do. It is nice to have someone who recognizes what we contribute to the store.
Winthrop J. Quiggy and Travis were both right. Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin. Pictured here is Eli's card from the Topps American Heritage set.

Today's question is Grade 3/Math.

What is the inverse operation of multiplication?

I knew that one. 61-14.

Where I work, 2nd shift is where the poor buggers are who get the scraps. 3rd shift gets sent out for breakfast, and 1st shift gets the cake. We on 2nd, we get the cold brisket and warm potato salad.

It always feels so wonderful to be validated, doesn't it? I go out of my way to be friendly and supportive of our warehouse guys for that very reason - I get to sit in a nice, cushy office and take credit for making things look good - THEY are the ones who allow me to do that!
